Lamego to Porto

Travelled firstly from Lamego to Quinta da Pacheca a large wine and port producing estate. Everything is still done manually - from hand picking the grapes to crushing the grapes by foot. Tasted some lovely ports, including a pink port. Then a 30 min drive to Mateus House. Very ornate with beautiful gardens. A late 3 course lunch in a local, family run restaurant with unlimited wine for 12€ea.
Finally, arrived in Porto about 4.30. It was 35C!. Dumped our bags and met a city tour guide for a great walking tour of Porto. Included mackerel, cod and sardine tastings with local wine. Porto is busy, colourful and quite beautiful.Meer informatie
