Braga and Guimaraes

Another day trip from Porto. After an early start we travelled to Braga, which is a pilgrimage site for Portuguese Catholics. The Bom Jesus site is huge and has a hotel, bar and cafeteria on site! Then had a guided tour of Braga. After a delicious lunch of local food, we travelled to Guimaraes, which claims to be the birthplace of Portugal. Another guided tour and then free time to wander around when we saw a large wedding leaving the main cathedral....awww! Back to Porto and a final dinner with Cathy and Phil.Lue lisää
