Rock Island state park

Rock Island State Park is an 883-acre park located on the headwaters of Center Hill Lake at the confluence of the Caney Fork, Collins, and Rocky Rivers.

We visited Great falls, a 30 foot waterfall that was very wide and impressive, located below a 19th century cotton mill.

Next we went to Twin Falls, an 80ft waterfall which is actually the result of the dam being built upstream when the engineers didn’t realize this area was hollow ground. So the overflow ends up spilling through caves in the sides of the cliff. It was a beautiful and short hike, you can even see a good portion of the falls from the parking lot.Læs mere
