• Prague Day 3 - Kafka and Prague Castle

    In the morning we took - you guessed right, a VoiceMap tour about Kafka. Franz Kafka was a famous Czech writer, known for his abstract short stories and novels. Kafka family moved a lot around Prague and this tour took us around the houses his family lived in. We saw some sculptures dedicated to Kafka, like a sculpture of a man on top of empty suit, related to one of Kafka stories. A memorable monument was Kafka head, made of steel layers, which rotate for 15 min every hour, influenced by Kafka story Metamorphoses. In the afternoon, I went to Prague Castle. Sadly, there was no VoiceMap tour and it was too late to get an official audio guide, so I just walked around the castle, stopping at the cathedral, Royal ceremonial Hall, and walked the famous Gold Street which is a street of tiny houses.Read more
