San Nicholas albergue Puente Fitero

We were so lucky to find this gem of a hostel. It is a very old hospital for pilgrims that is now run by an Italian association. They provide dinner, breakfast and roof over our heads for a donation. The meal was spectacular. We had pasta and our second course was meat and potatoes. Fruit and cake for dessert. And of course all the bread and wine we could stuff in our mouths. Nice to have some good old Italian pasta after all that paella. Our hosts are most entertaining
They did a foot washing ceremony before dinner to symbolize Jesus washing his apostle’s feet.
We had so much fun at dinner. We dined with Portugal, Italy, Venezuela, England and Poland.
