    CP Day 3 To Fâo

    28. august, Portugal ⋅ ⛅ 21 °C

Today was our longest walk yet, 24km over 6 hours. And boy were we ready to be done! We walked mostly on boardwalks alongside the ocean and sand dunes. We are amazed at the miles and miles of boardwalk along the coast. We loved them at first but they were never ending and we were quite happy to finally get off of them. We moved inland today as the infrastructure for the Camino is not as good in this area. We really liked getting back into the small, old world villages like those we experienced on the Camino Frances. After 24 km we reached our hostel and were very pleased to see it had a well kept yard and pool which was a nice reward at the end of a hard day. We are staying with some nice hikers from New Zealand, USA and Slovakia (mother and daughter who are mostly camping ⛺️ along the Camino!)Læs mere
