Kyoto to day 1 Tokyo - QUAKE!

After coffee by our little creek we caught the bullet train to Tokyo. Two hundred miles an hour! Our hopes of seeing Fuji were dashed. Either we slept through it or it was too cloudy.
Arrived in Tokyo at 3 checked into our hotel only to find out it was the smallest room yet. Wasn't going to work as we are accumulating additional suitcases as we are getting to the end. We were able to upgrade to a bigger room on a lower floor just in time to experience the 7.4 earthquake. Our building swayed for what seemed like minutes. Not violently but scaringly long.
After escaping death we went out to check out the neighborhood. I think we are in a good spot. We found a good restaurant and a neighborhood bar.Read more
