Early start for the Old Mazatlan Walking Tour. It started with a “Auriga" ride - an open-air converted pick-up truck, to the city's main square.
Went in the 19th-century Cathedral Basilica of the Immaculate Conception. Then the heart of the Historical Center of Mazatlán was explored - strolling through its narrow streets. A previous Governor loved the Beatles so put up statues and set up a club to play their music. Final stop was the Old beachfront called "Olas Altas" aligned with bars, coffee shops and restaurants to watch the local cliff divers who jump into a 5 - 8 feet of water. The tour ended at one of the local restaurants, where a complimentary beer and some salsa & tortillas.Read more

TravelerTBH I don’t think I got to see what Mexico is really like, Cabo San Lucas and the bit of Puerto Vallarta I saw were very touristy.
