If you were wondering, their scientific name is arachnocampa luminosa. Basically arachno because they have a web (well itactually is more like a fishing line), campa because they create a cocoon, and luminosa because their tails glow.

Final Fact: New Zealand Glow Worms are cannibals, it will eat both the adult gnat version of its self or the larva verision.Read more
