J5 - Arrivée à Mykonos

🇫🇷 On a dit au revoir à Santorin ce matin pour découvrir Mykonos.
Nous avons repris le même taxi qu’à l’arrivée, on a eu le droit à un petit point culture que l’on vous partage ici : ce Monsieur nous a parlé de Μεγαλοχώρι, un village qui signifie en grec Μεγαλο = grand et χώρι = village, et porte ce nom car il y a quelques siècles ce village était habité par des grand médecins, avocats et autres grandes professions. Amandine a ensuite questionné le chauffeur à propos d’un énorme cercle de bouées dans la mer près du port. Il nous a expliqué qu’il s’agissait de bouées antipollution installées suite au naufrage du Sea Diamond, en 2007. Même pas peur de prendre le ferry après avoir eu cette info. 🤪
Arrivés au port nous avons dû attendre patiemment notre ferry, pour embarquer dans une traversée de 3h. ⛴️🌊
Très contents d’être arrivés à Mykonos même s’il y a énormément de vent. On espère que ça se calmera sur les 3 prochains jours mais la météo n’annonce manifestement pas d’amélioration. 🌬️
On a pris place au Mykonos Beach Hotel, dans une chambre avec un balcon immense et une vue exceptionnelle. Le réceptionniste nous a informé qu’on a été surclassé et il s’avère qu’on a la meilleure chambre de l’hôtel. 🤯😍

🇬🇧 We said goodbye to Santorini this morning to discover Mykonos.
We got back in the same taxi as when we arrived, and were treated to a little culture point that we'll share with you here: this gentleman told us about Μεγαλοχώρι, a village that means in Greek Μεγαλο = great and χώρι = village, and is so named because a few centuries ago this village was inhabited by great doctors, lawyers and other great professions. Amandine then asked the driver about a huge circle of buoys in the sea near the harbour. He explained that they were anti-pollution buoys installed following the sinking of the Sea Diamond in 2007. Not even afraid to take the ferry after getting this info. 🤪
Arriving at the port we had to wait patiently for our ferry, to embark on a 3 hour crossing. ⛴️🌊
Very happy to have arrived in Mykonos, even though it's very windy. We're hoping it will calm down over the next 3 days, but the weather forecast doesn't seem to be improving. 🌬️
We checked into the Mykonos Beach Hotel, into a room with a huge balcony and an exceptional view. The receptionist informed us that we'd been upgraded and it turns out we have the best room in the hotel. 🤯😍Read more
