J14 - Mátala

🇫🇷 On a quitté ce superbe hôtel dans lequel on serait resté plus longtemps quand même. On aura quand même profité de la piscine, et Amandine du hamac, avant de repartir. Prochain hôtel, l’Adonis à Agía Galíni, encore avec une petite piscine vue sur la mer !
Sur la route pour rejoindre Mátala, quelques arrêts pour profiter de la vue et prendre de jolis clichés ! 📸 Mais attention car le vent souffle très fort dès qu’on prend de l’altitude. 💨
Les routes sont parfois si étroites, on a suivi un camion citerne, on se demandait franchement comment il allait pouvoir passer. Petite anecdote, il nous a semé sur les routes de montagne. 🤯😰
Arrivés à Mátala on a découvert les grottes néolithiques dans les falaises, qui accueillaient des hippies dans les années 60. On a croisé beaucoup, beaucoup de p’tits chats dans les rues. 🐈🐈‍⬛
On a ensuite voulu rejoindre Red Beach, pour laquelle il fallait gravir une montagne à pied, 1h de marche aller-retour. 🫠 Le paysage en valait le détour en tout cas ! 😍🏖️

🇬🇧 We left this superb hotel, where we would have liked to stay longer. We still enjoyed the swimming pool, and Amandine enjoyed the hammock, before leaving. Next hotel, the Adonis in Agía Galíni, again with a small swimming pool overlooking the sea!
On the road to Mátala, we made a few stops to enjoy the view and take some nice photos! 📸 But be careful, because the wind blows very strongly as soon as you gain altitude. 💨
The roads are sometimes so narrow that we followed a tanker truck, wondering how it would be able to get through. Fun fact: it left us behind on the mountain roads. 🤯😰
When we arrived in Mátala, we discovered the Neolithic caves in the cliffs, which were home to hippies in the 1960s. We came across lots and lots of little cats in the streets. 🐈🐈‍⬛
We then wanted to go to Red Beach, which meant climbing a mountain on foot, a 1-hour walk there and back. 🫠 The landscape was definitely worth the detour! 😍🏖️Leggi altro
