• Day 26

    January 29 in Peru ⋅ ☁️ 7 °C

We left Ollantaytambo with a shared taxi to Cuzco. We took a different route and saw some big rocks that had broken off the mountains and had fallen on the road. We could pass them and had no road blocks luckily. We arrived in Cuzco, and felt that it was higher than Ollantaytambo, because the air was thinner. We had less problems with it than when we arrived the first time here, so it was a good choice to stay in Ollantaytambo first. After we checked into our hotel (which happened to be somewhere on a hill 🤭), we went to explore the city a bit. We also got our free drink at the irish pub 😁 The city is very touristic and there are a lot of people who want to sell you stuff, but it is all the same stuff. 20 different people a day want to sell you the same drawings that they all made at the art academy. It seems like the art academy is more like an art factory. Eike contacted a friend from Teo (we met him in lima), and made an appointment to see him about a tattoo. Tomorrow at 11:00 Eike has an appointment again. We walked around in the city some more, and when it got dark, the city looked even more amazing. All the lights around on the mountains looked like christmas. But it got quite cold, and we were tired too, so we grabbed a sandwich on the way and went back to the hotel, where we watches some movies.Read more
