Day 41, lazy day
February 12 in Bolivia ⋅ 🌙 15 °C
It was a lazy day today, because we had muscle pain in our legs and arms. We did manage to get the hotel breakfast, but went back to bed after that. We did not plan another walk for today, and we hung around the village. We have so many doggie friends now, but every day new dogs show up that we haven't met yet. One dog manages to always find us, and when he does, he stays with us for hours. But he is also the naughtiest dog of all. He sometimes barks at certain people and he is very protective of us, so he chases all our other dog friends away. 🫤 we call him malo, because he is a bad dog. But he is sweet too and always so happy to see us again. He has a bad leg, and we think his elbow is displaced and his nerve is stuck. We also think a motorcycle might have run into him because he chases only certain motorcycles. So. Enough about the dog!
Fun dinosaur fact: When you look at the picture above, the map where torotoro lies, you can see that it lies in a crocodile tail shaped valley. This whole valley and the 'crocodile tail' plates are full of dinosaur footprints, but most of them still hidden in the limestone plates.
The weather here is really nice to enjoy, at daytime it has 25°C and a bit of wind, but the sun is still different to europa. Better to use suncreme before you get burned. Or wear a stupid hat 😅
While nina was writing the pinguin diary, eike went for another walk and ended at the local football place where some kids played. For sure a dog friend was following him and had the time of his life😅. After Eike picked up Nina, we went to drink a cocktail. There was a new dog we did not meet before, who smelled really bad, like cow shit, so we did not pet him 😅 but he was sweet too. We thougt it would be nice to eat something while drinking the cocktails, so we ordered a plate with cheese and vegetables but we got some potato chips, nuts and mais🤣. But fine, we got another beer in the streets and went for local street food for dinner. Pollo, arroz y patata 🤌 ( 1 euro)
For sure our friend dog Malo came by so he could get some pollo too. Eike gave him a piece after we were done eating. We took another walk and we tought it would be nice to buy dinner for Malo too. We can't get rid of him anyway, so we just as well give him some food too. He really liked the pollo sausage we bought him and it was gone in two seconds 😅 The Evening was really calm, drank some beers and enjoyed the streets with our dog friend. At the end of the day we also met Apolinar again, hung out with him for a while and had some laughs. Tomorrow we will see if we can do another, but smaller hike. Good night! 😘Read more
