• Day 42, last day in Torotoro

    February 16 in Bolivia ⋅ ☁️ 18 °C

We slept long today and as usual missed the breakfast. We went to grab a sandwich and coffee and booked a nightbus for tomorrow evening from cochabamba. From here we have to go back to cochabamba because the minivans are not going anywhere else. Then we went to the tour office and booked a small tour to the turtle cementary. We had the same tourguide as with our big hike. The walk was easy this time and the weather was nice too. The dog (not Malo), who was following us since our hotel, walked also with us. We walked through the town and then a bit further, through farm fields. It is so beautiful here ❤️ we came to a building where Victor gave us a lot of information about the beginning of the world and how the bible is so wrong 🤭 he gave us information about how the land changed and how the dinosaurs adapted to it. There was also a little bit ceramics from before the inca's and pieces of turtle remains. Then he showed us a video which had nothing to do with the information, because it was a promotion video to go to torotoro 🤭 then we went outside and it was an archeological digging site where they had put some replicas of dead turtles and a crodile, but it was a bit of an anticlimax. We didn't mind because the walk was nice anyway. We walked back and said goodbye to Victor. The rest of the day we hung out with the dogs and Malo found us again ofcourse. We bought some eggs and bread, gave Malo two eggs and a bread, and then we gave the rest to a small thin dog, and the saddest dog we saw here. He was really happy with it, but also didn't seem to understand why he got a whole bread. He went to sleep right after, because he finally had a full belly it seemed. Then we went to the hotel, packed our bags and went to sleep.Read more
