Dnešní den ani nevím jak popsat.
KATASTROFA? Nebo ZLÝ SEN?
Den totálně na 💩
Ráno jsme vstali v krásném kempu uprostřed hor, kam jsme přijeli ve 2 v noci po trajektu. Dali si snídani, naplánovali dnešní program a vyrazili. První zastávka byla v Kaikoure na jídlo a doplnění paliva.
Hmm nádhera všechno jde moc hladce ani v koloně, která ve městě byla jsme se moc neudrželi a objeli ji. Takže budeme ve 14h v Arthur's Pass, to zní skvěle. Po cestě focení lachtanu a užívání sluníčka i teplíčka. Říkáte si, jak z toho může být den katastrofa..
90km před Christchurch v kopci nám kleplo auto nebo respektive nám odešel motor. Najednou šílený zvuk, motor sebou škubal, jak kdyby měl vypadnout.
Následovalo šílené kolečko, zavolat pojišťovně, zajistit odtah, vymyslet co dál.
Jak to dopadlo? Cena opravy vyšší než kupní cena auta. Takže jsme se na to vybodli. Pan nám nabídl jeho osobní auto. A vzhledem k situaci nám to přišlo rozumné řešení i za rozumnou cenu. Čas nám asi ukáže, jestli to bylo rozumné řešení nebo ne.

A totally 💩 day
We woke up in the morning in a beautiful campsite in the middle of the mountains, where we arrived at 2 am after the ferry. We had breakfast, planned today's program and set off. The first stop was in Kaikoura for food and refueling.
Hmm, beautiful, everything is going very smoothly, even in the line that was in the city, we couldn't hold on much and went around it. So we will be in Arthur's Pass at 2 pm, that sounds great. On the way, taking pictures of a sea lion and enjoying the sun and warmth. You're thinking, how can a day be a disaster..
90km before Christchurch, our car knocked on the hill, or rather our engine quit. Suddenly, a crazy sound, the engine jerked, as if it was going to fall out.
A crazy cycle followed, calling the insurance company, arranging a tow truck, figuring out what to do next.
How did it turn out? The repair cost was higher than the purchase price of the car. So we took the plunge. The gentleman offered us his personal car. And given the situation, it seemed like a reasonable solution at a reasonable price. Time will tell if it was a reasonable solution or not.Read more
