Hill 70 Memorial,Loos-en-Gohelle, France

We were looking forward to this stop as it's a new memorial (dedicated by the Governor General just a year ago) and honouring a lesser known battle that John Kennedy participated in. It was a terrible disappointment. It is completely overgrown, we almost couldn't see a bench because the weeds were taller than it was. The parking lot has also been blocked off with big cement barricades.Read more
