    Cape Hillsborough

    We moved a couple of hours southwards down the coast to this National Park. It is a quiet spot with our site right behind the beach. we shared our part of the site with two seemingly resident kangaroos and were visited by wallabies too. One wallaby was carrying a joey which was quite enchanting.
    We completed a couple of walks in the area - The Andrews Point walk which took in three viewing lookouts and a tramp across a causeway to Wedge Island - very nice through rain forest and on the beach. A walk on the other side of the peninsular where there were many butterflies, and a boardwalk trek through some mangroves and rain forest.
    we had a quick look at Ball Bay and Haliday Bay which were nearby, quiet little settlements with elegant properties overlooking the beaches
