    The town of 1770

    April 4, 2019 in Australia ⋅ ☀️ 27 °C

A travelling day - southward - not helped by a major incident on the Bruce Highway which caused major delays.
Prior to setting off we took to the beach at 6 am to view the kangaroos and wallabies feeding at low tide.
The town of 1770 and its neighbour Agnes water are quiet little towns nestling on a peninsular where Captain Cook first landed in 1770.
We arrived quite late afternoon so spent one day looking around the area before moving on - we had already booked a site in Noosa for our final spot on this trip.
There were some nice short walks in the area - The Discovery walk to the peninsular head with nice views, a walk through a paper bark tree forest on boardwalks, a Red Rock walk which took us to a nice beach where we both finished our current read.
