    Noosa

    April 5, 2019 in Australia ⋅ ⛅ 23 °C

Noosa is one of our favourite paces on the Sunshine Coast so we have booked our final stop for this trip on a site next to an inland salt water lake just north of town.
The site is busy as the Aussie schools broke up for Easter this weekend and its location beside the lake with a nice beach is popular with families. Once again we were visited by kangaroos which inhabit the surrounding bushland. This site lies within a National Park and the bird life is abundant and chatty. A goanna tramped through the site on occasion.
Jamie and the girls joined us, staying overnight in the pitch adjacent to ours.
We hired a couple of sit-on kayaks and sent an hour exploring the lake which is very shallow and safe for the children. We then drove into Noosa to enjoy a light lunch at a cafe followed by body boarding in the surf on the main beach.
On our final day we walked through the National Park where we have previously seen Koala but this time we had no luck. We found a quiet beach to sit on for a while.
