Inverness

A day doing not very much. We left The Wee Campsite aiming for the Black Isle. The weather was wet and the sky grey. Glen Carron is very picturesque but we did not see it all as the wee light reappeared on our dashboard forcing us to stop.
We were recovered to Loch Carron to a garage immediately below The Wee Campsite from where we started. The garage was very busy with motor homes and recovery of hire cars, apparently the main cause of damage to hire cars is to the tyres on the narrow roads. The potholes up here also give each vehicle a good shaking around. One 2017 motorhome hired from Cumbria was being lifted back to Edinburgh for repair and possible replacement.
Ten hours after our pick-up we were lifted back to Inverness to a very familiar Fiat dealership.
Karen spent the weekend sewing and I ventured out to wander through the city once or twice.Read more
