    Windsor

    8 agosto 2019, Inghilterra ⋅ ⛅ 21 °C

Stayed on a Certified Site next to the River Thames and the Dorney Lake rowing centre. A very handy site for Windsor and Maidenhead.
We used our bikes for the first time since K's injury and explored the Thames Path. K under instruction not to over do it spotted some brambles ripe by the river so she foraged whilst I cycled on to Windsor.
As K had no adverse reaction we both cycled into Windsor the following day. The place was full of tourists from all around the world and absolutely buzzing. There were massive queues of orientals outside the Chinese restaurants and buffets which were doing a great trade.
The old railway station has been very elegantly converted into a shopping mall with two of the platforms still in operation tucked away at the back.
We cycled into Maidenhead the following day, nice enough by the river, very nice indeed, the town centre reminded us of Middlesbrough. The river was busy with traffic with Saturday revellers on afternoon hires intermingled with day trippers on charter vessels. There was one Italian classic speed boat quietly sitting in amongst it all.
