Urunga

The forecast was for a cooler day, so we took the Waterfall Road back up the valley to Dorriga.
Stopping first at Bellingen we saw a nice little town nestled in the valley below the mountain, full of quirky shops. After that we drove up to the Rainforest Centre and, after a quick look out at the Sky Walk, spent a couple of hours doing the Wonga Walk which took us down below the tree canopy - through the rainforest to two waterfalls. The walking stick vines were in seed, and we walked passed a resting carpet snake on our way. After all the rains the falls were quite full.
Our last stop of the day was to Dorrigo and to the Dangar falls there. Karen found another quilting shop in Dorrigo but managed not to buy anything.Read more
