We took a walk to Mullion on a cloudy day. Crossing heathland adjacent an MOD facility we hit the Coastal Path at Mullion and pitched off northwards along the coast path to Poldhu Cove and Church Cove. The path was once again very undulating following the contours of this beautiful coastline.
Poldhu Cove and Church Cove were used as backdrops in the recent Poldark series - one for beach scenes when ships were wrecked in the inshore and the other due to the church where apparently all the wedding secenes were filmed. The church was closed due to Covid but the nearby NT cafe served a mean apricot filled flapjack.
3lb of Blackberries were harvested from the hedgerows on our return journey.
After another 11 miles of walking it was a relief to get the boots off.Læs mere
