A trip to Winchester today because Karen was booked into have an X ray on the dickie knee. We parked up at the Rugby club and walked into town, Karen bounding up to the hospital feeling a bit of a fraud, but remembering the severe pain of three weeks ago. Alan took the opportunity to pop into the bank to finally close his business account followed by a wander into town.
Friday was a cooking day and food prep day in readiness for our trip to Sidmouth at the weekend. We enjoyed our picnic in Bournemouth so much we repeated the menu for a planned lunch on Saturday.
Friday evening saw us drive to Sidmouth to hitch up with Stewart, Emily and family who had rented an airbnb for the weekend so the children could see GG Mac.
We had a brilliant weekend with the family, we enjoyed a few fizzy pops on Friday, a lovely day in the grounds of Powys House and on the beach with the grand children and, curtesy of GGMac, a lovely meal at Dukes in the evening on Saturday. In the evenings we enjoyed scrabble with GGMac with G Mac being the victor each time.
Seeing everyone together again was brilliant, Magnus was as lively as ever in between building a Lego London bus with grandpa. Jemima spent her days in constant chatter and Mary was always cute, even threatening to walk all on her own but never quite managing it.
After Sunday lunch Stewart needed to leave early to travel back to London after which we spent a quiet afternoon in Powys House followed by Scrabble in which Karen once again prevailed.
We returned to North Baddesley on Monday, stopping off in Lyme Regis for a quick walk about on our way.
On Tuesday Alan reprised the bike ride with Mike prior to treatment in late afternoon.
