Venice

📌 A short stop in Venice before the hiking started. We both hadn't been to Venice for years but I was keen to wander through the unique city, eat some good food and admire the canals and architecture. We checked into a quaint guesthouse and headed out for some lunch. A delicious Italian Panini and Aperol 😍

📌 Wandering through the streets of Venice was lovely, the quiet areas and the maze of lanes where you suddenly walk over some canals. This contrasts to the busy Grand canal and the St Mark's Square which are beautiful but definitely less enjoyable.

📌 We met up with Michael which was great, enjoyed many Aperols at a bar before eventually getting a table at the popular neighbouring restaurant. It was great to catch up and just chill, it felt like nothing had changed and we had seen him yesterday. It was a good stop in Venice and worth seeing again for 1 night.Baca selengkapnya
