Sicily: Palermo

📌 A quick flight into Sicily, another region of Italy we had always wanted to explore. We landed in Palermo keen to get the most out of our next 6 days. We started the adventure with a food tour which was quite adventurous in itself. A few Aussies, Europeans, Irish and and an awkward American spent the next few hours together eating a variety of things including a spleen sandwich (wouldn't eat again), some arancina and gelato. It was a great food tour but Asia still wins for food tours so far, Europe has sooo many carbs!

📌 The next day we made a short trip to the small nearby town of Cefalu. This was a beautiful town by the water, it was busy, the streets were beautiful and it was a little quieter than the chaotic Palermo. We had some delicious arancino freshly made before heading back for another local Sicilian specialty, the cannoli. It was a old monastery that was quite popular, hence with popularity comes stupidity 😂, we eventually had some delicious very large cannoli which was worth it.En savoir plus
