Who would have thought this Amazing place existed in New Zealand. World War 2 coastal defense Battery was so accessible to those that wished to view It. Sitting on a 120 m cliff its lovely. Campsite is run by doc ,plenty of large spaces to park up, flush toilets , and tap water also on sites that advise to boil.
Wonderful walking tracks if you're into that or biking. Stunning views back towards christchurch. We were lucky enough to get to see a cruise ship coming out of the Lyttlelton Harbor. Tenting is allowed on-site, Dogs on lead's also allowed. Spark and Wireless Nation both work well here.Read more
