Great Spot by the River – NZMCA Park

We stayed at the NZMCA park, just down the dusty road, and it was a nice place to stop! If you’re after some shade, the big trees near the road are perfect. There’s water available next to the sign-in shed, along with a rubbish bin.

We’ve also left another model in the shed for others to enjoy!

Heads up: The park gets busy on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights, with lots of dogs around. Unfortunately, this is where our Maggie was attacked by a dog that broke free. Luckily, she’s okay, but something to keep in mind if you’re traveling with pets.Read more
