• Port Issac > Padstow

    July 10, 2024 in England ⋅ 🌬 16 °C

While we were having breakfast in Port Issac a kind man let us use his sunny wall to dry out our trainers and socks from the wet morning ferns.
Refueled we headed towards Padstow playing tortoise and hare all day with two lads also hiking the SWCP. They spurred us on to make the last ferry leaving Rock over to Padstow (by the skin of our teeth). It made the day a hot sweaty 18+ miler but were rewarded with a fish and chip supper. Hiked another mile to some dunes near Harbour Cove for an amazing wild camp spot.
This was also the day Debbie found a tick nestled in her groin! A lesson learned, wear your waterproofs through the ferny sections!
