Walking day 1 Lagos > Figoueira

So we are walking South to North on the Fisherman’s Trail.
Fabulous start, up and out after a big ol bowl of porridge and blueberries. We saw the sun rise and our first stork.
Started out flat on boardwalk then got progressively harder. We knew we were pushing our luck to get 26 miles in today. Had the terrain been marginally easier we may have made it but pulled off the trail at 18 miles. Rocky & slippery with beautiful white sandy beaches, quaint villages and perfect hiking temps…
All finished off with a juicy ribeye steak & portobello mushroom steak. Think I maybe asleep before my head hits the pillow tonight.Læs mere
