A large cooked breakfast at the Forest View Guesthouse and we were off. Great to meet other Pennine Wayers and adventurers. Took sneaky route west of Pennine Way into the mist then joined the PW to pass into🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿. No views🙃. Along the ridge in bog and quad bike trashed paths and then off on Dere Street , a Roman Road that we followed the rest of the day. Remarkably good condition mostly. Few Roman remains - or so the map said! Met the other LEJOG couple again. Sadly the mist never really cleared so we didn’t get a view of the Borders landscape. Crossed a few roads, chatted with the cows , saw a deer, and we were onto Borders Abbey Trail briefly crossing the St cuthberts trail and to Jedfoot Bridge where Nancy was waiting 😊.Читать далее
