    ToClaptonof Gordano. 21.4 miles. 238.4miles

Photo of last night’s sunset. A dull start from Weston super Mare on a route not many would take - but actually very good and swift along a cycleway. Met by Colin and Finn for tea and Hotxbuns. Then onwards on paths through fields avoiding dykes, along by the M5 and onwards to Clevedon. Stop for butties then up onto the hill above. Past Cadbury Camp( an iron age fort - no chocolate) and down to Clapton in Gordana with the lovely old Black Horse for cider. First view of the Severn Bridges- quite emotional.Read more

21.3 miles. Another wet start. Rain remaining till midday😟. But with Colin’s great support, with crumpets and tea we trundled on. Chatted to a friendly chap with knowledge of horse racing in Crediton, who donated. Then onwards to Thorverton. Decided we had enough energy to go up and over to Bickleigh by the raging River Exe.
