Up The Hill We Go

Putting the setbacks behind us and with the tyre repaired, we head inland to the highlands of the Atacama desert. A stunning drive which takes the Troopy over 3,000m again before we arrive at the tourist town of San Pedro de Atacama. We spend the first couple of days exploring the salt plans and Valle de Lunas (Valley of the Moon). Timing was good with the full moon rising over the surrounding volcanoes at dusk. And flamingos! Flamingos on a salt pan 10,000 feet above sea level.Meer informatie
