    Picking up on a theme from our time in Paraguay and Northern Argentina last year, we head further East to follow the Missionaries Route. These are a collection of small towns - San Jose, San Miguel, San Rafael, San Ignacio, and Conception cut out of the Amazon jungle (now surrounded by farm land) by Jesuit missionaries in the late 17th and early 18th centuries.
