Joshua Tree

Our initial objective - Palm Springs - is in sight, but we’ve got time to have a night in Joshua Tree National Park. But first, after crossing the border into California we have a night on the banks of the Colorado river on the edge of the small town of Blythe. Impressive cropping area, but also at the expense of another river system. Joshua tree has a spectacular desert scenery dotted with the famous tree.
