Another state capital! This time Edmonton, the capital of Alberta. We’re surprised by the lack of people - the streets in the middle of the city are almost empty - and we ask “where is everyone”? The response - they’re on summer holidays, they’re in Calgary (for the Stampede) and they’re inside escaping the heat (it’s 30 degrees C). We have a good wander around, taking in some big city shops, the views along the river, and a brew pub (or two).Read more
