Exploring the City

Arriving and at our hotel reception before 12:00, we were right on time. Starting to get a little hungry, we dropped off our bags with the lovely Scottish lady, and headed into beautiful Scotland for some lunch and much needed exploring.

I had pasta and a chai latte for lunch in a cute little cafe not far from reception. After finishing our meals, we headed to the first place on our list, the castle. Though impressive from the outside, it was a bit of a let down on the inside. We did get to watch the 1:00 canon which was quite thrilling. Quite a few museums that didn't quite interest Dad and a couple really old buildings that were rather fascinating.

After the castle, we walked through town admiring the pretty buildings and cobblestone streets, just wandering. We walked back to reception after a hot choc and grabbed our bags, ready for a final walk of the day to our beautiful apartment.Read more
