    The Morning’s route circled the steep valley where we left Sainte-Private this morning. I stopped at a small church on a rocky outcrop. It’s the remnant of a castle called Rochegude ( sharp rock) which commanded the highest point I could see. Then the path plunged down to the river valley. I stopped in Pratclaux for a quick cup of coffee and a crêpe with confiture (fig jam today). Then then across the Eiffel bridge and up and up and up, switch back, that lasted to a couple of hours. Along the way we passed the Chapelle de la Madeleine, cave chapel dedicated to Saint Mary Magdalene. After the long climb, the path emerged from the woods on to high plain farmland. The rest of the morning consisted of winding cow paths alternating with short road stints. Then down to her small valley where this town lies.Leer más
