    Sensoji Asakusa

    First day Tokyo!!!!

    After waking up late and getting (a bit) lost
    We got to Sensoji, eat eat eat.

    Places:
    Sensoji Asakusa
    Akihabara (lost again!)
    Meiji Jingu
    Harajuku
    Shibuya
    & Harajuku again (just to eat!!)

    Eating list:
    Milk Tea
    Random Rice wrapped in pork thingie
    Melon Bun
    Ice cream!!!!
    Salmon over rice
    Crapes (Harajuku)
    Shibuya soft ice cream
    Kyoza (across hostel)

    Hey! Dont judge. Its an eating trip after all hehehehe

    Then back to Ugaisudani, where our hostel oak zen is.

    Tsukiji Fish Market

    Considered waking up at 3 to queue for tuna auction and then went like "Nahhhh" (Who am i kidding!?) Woke up late & get there almost noon. Sushi isn't all that impressive (or maybe i picked a wrong restaurant)

    Walked to Ginza. I dont think we actually got to the center od Ginza but we walked for awhile already so i just considered where i was walking as Ginza and moved on 5555.

    Went to Jiyugaoka for Sweets Dessert. Dessert aren't to die for (honest) but that town is so cute!!!!

    Back to Shibuya to buy ticket to Fuji. Walked around a bit before sending Zine to hostel and i wandered around Uguisudani to eat (again!) 5555 The food on the stick is lovely and soft ice cream that ended as a late night dessert did not disappoint!. GREAT DAYYYY!!!    Read more

    Shinjuku

    Shinjuku is one of my fav area in japan here. So much to eatttt (and see and do of course)

    Today my sis wanted to eat Okonomiyaki, so i googled up some restaurant. Turned out it wasnt really Okonomiyaki but something called Hiroshima. Only locals were there but one of the young chefs did speak English and he was pretty enthusiatic to see foreigners so he asked us a bunch of questions and basically watched us eat his food (no pressure, huh?!)

    Today:
    Akihabara (went back so zine can buy her cartoon things)
    Taiyaki stand (Yippee!)
    Tokyo station
    Tokyo Metropolian Building
    Shinjuku
    Yokohama

    Eat:
    Soba with deep fried potato (410)
    Taiyaki red beans (160)
    Chocolate cake & iced coffee (1200)

    I literally rushed here from Tokyo & only had an hour to spend here before hopping on the last train home.

    I guess all the rushing left smth to be desired and i wish i had more time to go through China town and see that ferris wheel turns colors

    I guess i like manmade things. Its beautiful, its powerful. To think that all of Japan exist on a tiny island that doesnt even have all that much resources. Human....    Read more

    Hello, Fuji-san!!!!

    I honestly did not expect it to be this beautiful. Reading the reviews, they said it's often obsured by clouds & you can hardly see it except in the early morning.

    But then maybe luck is on my side. Because there is absolutely 0 cloud today. Blue clear sky it is! And we happened to be here on Shibazakura Festival, just an hour ride from Kawaguchiko Station.

    My sister and I were gonna ride around the lack. But then my sis hadn't touched a bicycle in 8 years & turned out she just forgotten how to ride a bike :/
    I took her on my backseat but half the route was like upppphil. So it's more of us walking around the lack and drag the bike around.

    Anyhow, I'm glad I decided to give Fuji-san a visit. You're definitely worth it!    Read more

    Shibuya

    Spending my last night in Tokyo at Excelsior Cafe up in Shibuya (sat in smoking zone but it's the only place with amazing view!)

    Idiotically, I spilled all my drink. A waiter had to clean it up (using half a pack of tissue in the process) THEN, he gave me a new cup of coffee!! This would NOT happen in Thailand! They are so nice here

    Before this I just went on a shopping spree. Bought 1 pair of running shoes & 3 tops! I was quite surprised at the woman in me. Never have I ever had this moment before, buying recklessly. But then I guess it's also the first time I have money leftover on an oversea trip (Thanks to all my friends who said I brought too little money, I got panicked and exchange more money at the airport. Now I have too much money in Yen!)

    Anyway, the cafe I'm sitting in quite lovely & the it has 100,000$ view. I just wish it's not a smoking area. Buhhhhh.    Read more

    Kansai International Airport

    Sleeping at airport with Zine. Didnt think she would agree!! Usually so รักสบาย, but i guess she wanted a little adventure. Turn out it was me who got old and got used to good things in life. It was NOT at all conformtable sleeping on the bench! We arrived at 11PM and ate Sukiya before settling on a bench. I didnt fall asleep until 4AM ( tho to be fair, i was on youtube marathorn 5555) Barely got 3 hrs of sleep before waking up. I used Lougue shower, thanks to Mom's JCB card. It was quite exquisit, so sad i was hurry i forgot to take pictures!Read more

    Actually quite a sinister place as it used to be devoted to mass production of poisionous gas use in war. It was intentionally kept off the map and kept secret. Still see ruins of factory until today.

    -10:45 bus from Shinjuku bus station to Kawagujigo - big delay, arrived 3hrs ish
    -check in to Rayuku via shuttle bus, super beautiful but 20k per night
    -took bicycle rides to vegetarian place and ran into local parades with lots of food stall
    -had really good time and so much fun with bicycle, found a beautiful view at Asakasa supermarket parking lottttt
