    Day 14 mekong delta

    Well we arrived on the Mekong Delta and started with a sanpan ride along the river passing by the mangrove and palm
    trees along the river bank to a brick factory, after that the sanpan continued to a coconut processing plant and a candy workshop where we tasted some of the different candies made from coconut, and several coconut wine ( which was more like poteen !)

    After that we visited a farmers house where he made reed sleeping mats.Then it was off on an hour long cycle ride to a farm for lunch, with elephant fish as the main course.
    After lunch we had a small boat tour of some Mekong tributaries, after which a tuk tuk ride back to the coach and into Ben Tre to our hotel, "Diamond Stars" and time to shower again because it's bloody roasting and very humid.    Read more
