    Day 8 Train journey

    Had a good night's sleep, up at 8, first stop is lanzhao at 08:30. Ive had to change trains at Xining according to one of the crew " we need a different horse for the next part, no electricity." Lo and behold we go from electric train to diesel.
    We have just arrived at Ge,'ermu station and I just love how the platform staff stand to attention as the train rolls in, certainly not something Avanti or NW rail would do 🤣    Read more
