Highland tour Glencoe

Glencoe has a sad history the Clan MacDonald was massacred by William III in 1692.

The valley is a very long and spectacular carved by glaciers and surrounded by craggy peaks. The visitors centre is very good, there are insights into the history, a display on alpine rescue, any a wonderful recreation of turf family home.

Driving away from the town we pass the Harry Potter film site of Hagred's hut. We stop at the Three Sisters lookout where the ambiance is enhance by a busking piper. Further along is the Glencoe Ski centre. At the top of the valley very extensive peat bogs.Læs mere
