So early start to get a taxi at 7am to get to start of mountain, long taxi ride but after registering and meeting our guide we started at about 9.30.

It was, obviously, uphill, rocks and stairs mainly with a well defined path, we were loving it until it started raining half way up, we were soaked through in literally seconds, so whilst it was raining i was a little miserable, but actually very limited moaning and complaining was done!

I wanted to get a poncho before we left but we couldnt find one and as an attempt to keep my head dry as no hood on my waterproof, i had to resort to a plastic bag on my head! (bens idea) was actually a good one! Cue 'funny Ozzie' i wish i could take a picture of you- well you cant and as far as I'm aware none exist and this is the way it will stay! It was like jumping in a bath and walking in pouring rain for about an hour, but luckily the sun came out again and warmed us up.

The views are amazing! Huge waterfalls-hundreds of metres high, rainforest so green surrounding us. Colourful flowers in bloom. Porters with huge backpacks secured onto there heads running past you- each back pack weighs above 30kg!

Ben and I didn't find it too hard but think will have tired legs tomorrow!

Well we are now in the restaurant 3,232 metres up awaiting a very early dinner as we are going to bed very early as we have a 2.30am start to reach the summit!!
