    Mercier Orchard & evening fire

    August 13, 2016 in the United States ⋅ ⛅ 28 °C

We felt we deserved a treat after our challenging hike so we went to the area's #1 attraction, Mercier Orchard. A huge general store selling everything from fruit to nuts, they are most known for their delicious pocket pies. We bought 2 for each of us and enjoyed a picnic of half of them by the pond. Even the dogs got a treat.
After a rest, hot tub & dinner, we managed to get a fire going for hot dogs & s'mores. This was Phill's inaugural experience with spider dogs but I'm sure there are many more in his future. Bosco & Kolby were not totally thrilled with the campfire, but behaved well enough to earn a bite of hot dog.
