For a couple of miles we've been walking along a very flat, straight road of cows, sand and mud.

Starting day two: Carlisle to Lanercost. Sites include: Carlisle Cathedral, Tullie House, Bitts Park, and the Sands Centre.
We did it! Day two complete, finishing in Lanercost Tea Room for cake.
We've finished Lanercost to Walltown Quarry and are about to start the hardest section of the wall to the Twice Brewed Inn. Lots of visible wall and old pele tower buildings on route so far.
