    January 7, 2024 in Mexico ⋅ 🌙 20 °C

In Oaxaca we started our stay directly with a Mezcal Tastings that Franzi voted for and I'm glad I joined. Though I just don't like Schnaps pure, I enjoyed it a lot and love me some Mezcal Margaritas. We tried six different Mezcals, learned about the varies of Agavae and the process. Our hosts were super friendly and shared there vast knowledge with us. We also got to try these Agavae worms Oaxacans use for salt of Margaritas or just eat them like this.Read more

    January 12, 2024 in Mexico ⋅ ☀️ 31 °C

Franzi, Jan and I visited Monte Albán, an old City of the Zapotecs that was already abandoned 900 A.D. and was then used as a burial site from the Zapotecs and later the Mixtecs. The area is very impressive and in it's prime there was trade of goods and culture with Teotihuacán, which influenced the architecture in Monte Albán.Read more
