Meteora then onto Kalambaka

All luggage and fellow travellers were on the bus by 8:30am to start our day. After nearly 3 hours driving we were finally at the Nuns monastery.
We had stood in awe at the landscape at Meteora - I feel my photos just don’t do justice to the sheer magnificence of the sights we stood gazing at.
The Nuns monastery sat perched on a hill side overlooking the town of Meteora. This monastery is heritage listed by UNECSO and we can understand why.
Also we were told that a James Bond movie ‘For your eyes only’ was shot at one of the monastery’s dotted along the mountain range.Read more
