Rose this morning very excited to be visiting Corinth. All on board the bus for another 8 am departure as we had a 3 hour bus journey in front of us.
On the way to Corinth we crossed the Corinth Canal. The Corinth Canal is a canal in Greece that connects the Gulf of Corinth in the Ionian Sea with the Saronic Gulf in the Aegean Sea. Completed in 1893.
Then another hour saw us arrive at the Ancient Corinth Archaeological and Museum Site. Even though it drizzled while we were there it certainly didn’t bother us.
Our guide showed us where it is thought ( but no proof) the synagogue that Paul taught at would have stood. The museum there was a marble pillar with a Menorah carved into it and the word Synagogue. Acts 18:1-17.
After visiting the museum we choose to wander through the site again as we made our was to the little village outside the site where we had a very relaxing lunch before moving onto our hotel for the night.Read more
