29/7 Quito

Nice chill day in Quito today, poor Sal is a bit under the weather so just got a few chores done while we waited for our bus to the Amazon. Started with a nice brekky at a little place that gave us a photo of ourselves as a souvenir, very cute!! Then caught the bus to an outdoors store and got a couple of dry bags and some quick dry socks ready for rainy, humid Cuyabeno. Pretty cool experiencing the bus system here in Quito, so efficient! It was about 5 mins faster getting the bus than it would have been via Uber. Once we reached the outdoors store we grabbed what we needed then got distracted browsing climbing gear, they even a demo wall for people to test out their gear which was cool! Enjoyed a giant plate of nachos on the rooftop at Secret Garden Hostel and enjoyed watching the sun go down over Quito, we hadn’t really seen the historic centre by night before, esta muy bonito!
