15/8 Isle Isabela

For our final full day on the beautiful Isle Isabella we once again rented mountain bikes and cycled partway to the Wall of Tears to see if we could spot some more tortoises along the Camino de Tortugas Gigantes. We got a great tip from the lady at the rental shop that they often hang around a small pool of water along a little side trail, and we were stoked to find 3 tortoises resting there in the muddy water.

After that, we went snorkelling back at Concha de Perla. There were once again plenty of sea lions resting on the dock, and in the water we saw plenty of wildlife including huge schools of fish, turtles, marine iguanas, and a lil pufferfish hiding underneath a ledge.
